By Sue Doe Nimbly
i walked into love,
willingly.
you did lure me;
you did pull on my heart,
but i came on my own accord.
there was no plummet–
no blind stumbling.
i walked in with my head held high,
with silent and determined strides.
to all of this you remained
unaware.
you were immersed someplace else.
now
i close my eyes…
i rip out my heart…
and walk out
just as quietly as i walked in.
