Senior Isabella Goetschel won First Place in the Riverside County Poetry Out Loud Competition. She recited “Epitaph” by Katherine Philips and “Dream Song 14” by John Berryman. Isabella will advance to state competition.

Make sure she updates colleges. Either now by emailing her admissions officers, or if she gets waitlisted somewhere, she can write a letter of continued interest that notes new accomplishments. Some schools (like USC) also take appeals after rejections where you can mention this sort of thing. Anything helps🤓
